Chess in Sinsheim 3

Sinsheim’s chess is played in its villages rather than in the town centre. Steinsfurt has two clubs: the Schachkommune Freibauer Steinsfurt, whose plan for 2026 included a “Long Night of Chess” in Hilsbach in July and a holiday programme for children in August, and the Schachfreunde Botvinnik Steinsfurt, which the club register places in the hall of the Steinsfurt municipal office and whose team plays in the Kreisklasse.

In Hoffenheim the Schachfreunde 1999 Hoffenheim list the league fixtures of their second team from October 2026 to June 2027. The teams of the three clubs meet in the lower leagues of the area: in the first round of the 2026/27 season, on 18 October 2026, the first team of the Freibauer played the second team of the Botvinnik club in the Kreisklasse A.
