Club nights on a Friday 25

Friday evening is club night across most of the region, and in many clubs the juniors train in the late afternoon before the adults sit down at eight. In Mannheim the Schachklub Mannheim 1946 meets in the Bürgerhaus Neckarstadt; in Ludwigshafen the Schachklub 1912 plays every Friday and the ESV 1927 on the first and last Friday of the month. The SC Viernheim uses a seminar room of the Bürgerhaus, the Wormser Schachverein the Hotel Boos, the SV Hockenheim the Zehntscheune and the Schachklub Sandhausen the old fire station.

Other Friday rooms are a Protestant community centre in Brühl, the Ferdinand-Schmid-Haus in Ketsch, the adult-education centre in Ladenburg, the Bürgerhaus in Baiertal, the Kurpfalztreff in Bobenheim-Roxheim, the music wing of a grammar school in Mosbach, the foyer of the Münzenbachhalle in Neckargemünd and the club house of the Post SV in Neustadt. Two school working groups, in Mannheim and Ludwigshafen, meet on Friday afternoons for their own pupils.
